MLK

Today was a holiday. I wonder how many people actually noticed. How many spent time thinking about why it's a holiday. I spent a little time and I also created the above image. If you ask most people about Martin Luther King Jr.'s speech on the Capitol Mall, they'll tell you the quote, "I have a dream." The speech was so much more. If you haven't read it in awhile, the text is available all over the internet. You might just surprise yourself if you go read it. Peace.

I worked. I didn't even give it a passing thought which is a damn shame.

Tbat is an incredible speech, so impassioned, so eloquent, so stunning in it's simplicity and depth of feeling.

Today we seem to placate ourselves with this complete bullshit poliical correctness, this seems to have replaced making actual changes on many levels. It's a sugar pill that I don't swallow easily.

I'm rambling but I love his fervor, his hope, his stress on peaceable means. Still inspirational after all these long years.
